Atlanta area Pelicans - Saturday 9/25/4
Folks,
Thinking it's time for another get together. We haven't done much in the way of group activity this summer so that means... 2nd ANNUAL CHILI-FEST at my place. Saturday , 9/25 say around 3-ish? PM me for directions. We'll see if we can get a few other breeds of car to show as well.

That's the same date as the Petit LeMans, so unfortunately I'll be at Road Atlanta watching the race that day.

Looks like we are competing against the "Petite". Since the weather looks promising for a day at the track, we're going to delay the Chili-fest until later in the Fall.

For some reason I feel guilty that BlkBird had to cancell his Chili-fest since I brought up the the Petite LeMans thing in the first place.
So here's my offer. I have a friend coming in from NC (he drives a M3, but he's OK). I live 15 minutes from the track and we plan on getting there early on Saturday. I have a white picnic canopy that I am going to set up at Spectator Hill. I propose that this be the official Pelican Corral for anybody attending the race. If I can find one of those damn stickers Wayne sends with each order I'll put it on the canopy or I'll make some sign. We'll have a cooler full of ice and some cold adult beverages (if you bring some of your own I won't tell anybody since it is not legal to bring that into the race, and we certainly don't want to break the law). We'll have a grill, and I'll supply hotdogs and buns (a gourmet I'm not). So if you're there come on by, visit or stay and have a seat. We'll be there for the whole day and I don't want to eat all those damn hotdogs myself. If anybody knows for sure that they'll stop by let me know. This could get ugly.........  Andrew
