The air box is a two piece configuration. Where the crack is, is where the seam is. My recommendation would be to remove all the plumbing on the top half and take the air box apart to properly fix it.

Mine had a piece missing on the back side because of backfire. I removed the top half cleaned everything up with acetone, purchased some two part epoxy and used it to mold it the shape of the missing part.

Usex rubber sealer for the seam, placed the top half on, screwed it in place and haven't had any problems. Since then, I have installed the pop off valve and it does work.

I think this would be the best way to go if you are going to use the old air box, otherwise you should replace the complet air box if you don't want to do a fix.

Either way you will have to remove the plumbing only more so if you replace the complete air box.

Here's one other glue suggestion that I know will work:

Get a tube of windsheild urethane, the trick is applying it only where you want it... anyone who has used it before knows what I mean :D

When I drill a hole for the POV, I'll hopefully be able to use outside light and a mirror or fiberoptic scope device to look inside for any big leaks and then go from there. Hopefully just the crack in the seam and no engine drop yet. I assume the 2 part epoxy does a good blending with the plastic material. so I will try that. Any specific 2 part epoxy recommendations would help me and others too.

Any good two part epoxy will work fine. Make sure you get all the oil off with acetone.

There is a groove in the bottom box and a lip on the top box which when mated with the bottom box fits in the groove. If there is a gap there, then they are not mated properly.

I would still recommend taking the box apart to do it properly otherwise, you could have issues when the box expands when hot and contracts when cold expecially since it looks like the seam is apart on the box already.
