White gold... the good kind

These are the result of over six hours of labor... refilling the printer with paper... hole punch... wait... repeat...

The end result?
A complete set of factory manuals (8 Volumes) for my 993.

Some anonymous (I'm serious) Pelican sent me a CD with them on it while I was deployed in '01.

Whoever you are, I thank you!

P.S. (it's not illegal to "have" a copy of the manuals, is it? -I always thought it was illegal to try to sell them.) Maybe I'm just paranoid-->8 yrs in the military- but I don't PNA knocking on my door.

And of course, a shot of the 993 this evening...

Yeah, I am truely in love.

It's a good thing Porsche didn't make any holes on the exterior of the 993... I might do something ....un-natural.

Dang Leland! You keep tempting me with all those pictures of your new car. If the Insurance wasn't so much on three 911's I would have one.

Nice Leland...and as for the manual, and the PET too, W(hy)TF should Porsche had a problem with private owners having a copy?

We spend money! MONEY! on parts and sometimes services that keeps an industry alive. When they got out of racing, they were content to let the privateers continue building the mystique of the Brand. WTF...let us bear the burden of "Sunday advertising" and then hammer us for finding convenient ways of doing it?

I want a copy of that Manual! Please? I want to do my part in keeping the Porsche name fresh in the minds of youths who will grow up dreaming about own a Porsche. I want to do my part in keeping the Porsche parts industry alive.

Really, please?

And Leland, if you find an appropriate hole....we want incriminating photos or videos

I have the factory manuals for both the 911 and the NARP 944 race car. I'm a freak for keeping the pages clean, so I usually photocopy the pages likely to get messy and keep the books intact. It helps to have a copy machine at home.

A better idea? A friend of mine put every page in those plastic covers with the holes for inserting in a three-ring binder. The paper stays clean, and the plastic wipes off easy.

The big question- Are the manuals for working on the car, of for pleasure reading?
