Camshaft upgrade on a 1987 3.2L

Hi all by searching threads here I have seen that a 964 or 20/21 are the cams of choice for an 87 3.2L engine upgrade. how about 993 cams? would these be the same as a 964 or more aggressive, would all these cam choices still keep me within emissions. I tried a search but could not get any info specific to a 993 upgrade, Thanks, John

I went with 20/21 grind on my 3.4. It is slightly more aggressive then the 964. As far as other grinds, try Steve at Rennsport.com for some good advice.

The 993 has hydraulic rocker arms. You would need cam carriers etc. to upgrade, and still only have a 964 style cam.
964 passes emissions in CA
