Alternator wiring on '78 SC

Hi guys,

I need help with my alternator. I did not marked the wires when I disconected it. Now I don't remember where they are going. I've got Bentley manuals, and they refer to terminal B+ and D-, and i've got two of each on the Alternator.

I think one of the B+ is not used and one of the D- is used to ground the alternator. Can anyone confirm this? Ohh, this is on one with external regulator 1978 SC. Man, am I feeling dumb.

Thank you very much.

Here's the sketch I made when disassembling my engine last year.

You threw me with the reference to the external regulator - I though I had an internal one but a quick search set me straight. (That would explain why there are so many connections).

Thank you. That was what I was thinking about. I just was not sure about not having anything connected to one of B+ terminals.

You can connect to either of the B+ terminals. They are connected on that diode bank.
