Hub nut torque value?
 

I may have missed it. Checked in 101 Projects, Haynes & did a search. Can somebody confirm the torque value for the nuts that hold the hub to the rotor? In the search, most people said to tighten them to specs, but never said what it was. I'm assembling the hub, rotors, struts, etc. that will be going on my '69. In a search, Superman said 20 ft./lb. In the back of my mind, I seem to remember 26 ft./lb.

Are you talking about the large gland nut with the cotter pin?

Get a cheater bar and crank it down till snug and the hole for the pin is visible .....then slip in a new cotter pin.....

It's a standard M8 DIN 8.8 bolt and nut ... 2.3 mkp per the spec book, or about 17 - 18 lb-ft!

Sorry Mike, I was talking about the fronts. Warren, thanks. I knew it wasn't much, but that's even a little below what I was thinking. Somehow it seems like those nuts & bolts should be a higher grade with higher torque values, considering what they do.
