Does he have a website or samples of his decals?

Joeaksa 09-27-2004 05:01 AM

Not that I know of, but do a search of either "mikez" or scripts and you will find several of his posts on the subject.

Sent him an email last night and no reply. He may be out with the family unit for a few days... he will get back to you on this.

Mike,

You are not being a salesman!

He has just about any color you want, style and so on. The question is what are you looking for and usually Mike comes up with exactly what you need.

Hey it's early out here....

Current stock has white, blue, red, black and silver.

Custom colors will take a bit as my vinyl guy is back in jail....again....

Joeaksa 09-27-2004 06:49 AM

Mike,

Look at it on the bright side! While in jail he might get some new ideas! :)

Mike, is there a tech article on how to install this script anywhere? I just got an SC last night with a duck tail and seller handed me the Carrera script in a tube, which I think he may have gotten from you. I have no idea how it goes on. Just peel and stick? What about gaps between panels? Thanks.

Jim Richards 11-10-2004 10:05 AM

RL, I recall seeing places on the web that sell vinyl graphics describe the installation proceedure. Though not specific to the Carrera logo installation, the procedure would be the same. I even faintly remember seeing a procedure described on the 911 Tech forum; however that was quite a while ago. If I get a chance, I'll help you find these references.

Oh, one more thing...you wanted a longhood, you bought an SC, and you're putting Carrera logos on it. Whassup? :p

Two ways....soak in soapy water after peeling the heavy backing....apply where wanted, squeegie the excess water and bubbles out with a bondo like plastic squeegie......take a SHARP single edge razor, trim the fender wells, slice down ONE side of the doors.....let dry. Peel top paper off, open doors press/wrap excess inside of door wells.....

"I" simply use a blue tap hinge on top, peel the heavy paper and smooth down...cut as above. But I have been doing it awhile....

Thanks. I found more directions on other threads. Is it really ok to rub alcohol on the area to get any wax off?

Jim Richards 11-10-2004 10:16 AM

Yes
