SF Bay/Monteray CA Area Car - Anyone know anything about this car?

Or have any thoughts on it for me?

Car for sale on Ebay

Thinking about going after it, but I'm not super comfortable with the whole sight unseen Ebay thing and I've been having trouble getting the owner to reply to my emails. He replied to one but not to further inquiries and I'd really like to chat with him about the car in real time before I start bidding.

try and get his phone number. Or it likely is in Excellence or Panorama...see if you can find the contact info there.

I saw that car months ago in Traderonline.com, or at least what I think was that car.

Seems well kept.

A lot of times the old ad will stay in Traderonline for months, I think the car I bought is still there....

I've not seen it in Excellence. Don't get Panorama, not familiar w/ that one, how could I go about looking for it?

Yeah, I've been wanting to chat with him via phone and have emailed my # but no response.

This car has been on ebay a number of times and I saw it advertised in Panorama (will try to find info). Buyer is looking for $25-28K if memory serves. I bid on it but bailed after $20K. I thought I saw it expire unsold @ $24. Sounds like a real nice example though.

I would appreciate it if you could find the ad/info. I've seen it on Ebay before too.

Seen it before too. Wants a good amount of money for it. Listed at least three times on Ebay that I have seen. Been tempted to take a look at it but it is out of my price range. Salinas is just down the street

I wouldn't touch an ebay car no matter how nice it is unless I could drive it and have a PPI done before serious money changes hands.

I'll check the car out for you if you think you might be interested.
Seems pretty clean, I can probably get some more history for you if you want. Just PM me or email at gibson@redshift.com

I work in Salinas, but do not know the car or seller. If he's asking anywhere near $32,000 it's going to be a tough sale. I recently purchased an '89 after looking at several. (Previously owned an '84 and a '68.) I'd be willing to look at car, but could only validate visuals of car (and I can't do it until next week).

I'd be interested in who did the 60,000 mile service and see if that mechanic can do a PPI. I suggest contacting owner after close of bidding -- I suspect he may not get minimum bid. Let me know if I can help. Good luck.

As said above, NEVER buy a car sight unseen, unless you buy it for the scrap metal value. It is a very ugly color combo and has sheep seats! YUCK! I doubt the seller is reasonable on the asking price. I'd go shop locally if I were you. Seattle has to have some late carreras...

Looks like I'm going after this car. Anyone local who could check it out or recommend good shops for a PPI?
