I bought a kit for about $10 at an auto parts store. I was amazed how it took care of a deep chip on my son's BMW. I think they have kits with multiple seals which would enable you to fix more than one chip.

I bought one at Pep boys once. It works exactly like the stuff that you see at the windshield places. a syringe with liquid inside. I think I paid about $10 for a kit. I can't remember if it did one chip or 2. It works better on the bullseye spots than the spider cracks.

I've always heard that optical clarity was far from perfect after using one of these kits.
What are your observations?

Do these work on a small surface chip that hasn't spread? It's not deep at all -- more like a rough spot.

On mine the clarity seemed fine. I had to really look to find the problem at all, occasionally you'll find that there is a very small line, but that's also true of the stuff the pro's use.
Yes, they also help somewhat with a small chip. Not perfect, but it does help.

my problem is not as extreme as those descibed on the web site, i have about a half dozen very small ones. i will have to find a kit that allows for multiple applications i suppose.
