Engine compartment heater blower

I just purchased a replacement engine compartment heater blower.

I removed the old non-functional unit.

Then I noticed something.

The old unit's electrical connection had flat terminals, and the new unit's electrical connection has round terminals (!).

Is there a way to make this unit work? It seems to be the right unit in terms of size and shape.

Help!

Yeah, I was planning to clip the wires -- the hard part is finding the plug. to add on to the wires.

The thing is, I actually have an 84, and the original unit appears stock. So they changed the unit mid-year?
