'85 Tool Kit....pics please.
Hi to all. If someone would be so kind as to take a pic of a complete tool kit for a '85 911. I'm a little (alright alot) anal and would really like my tool kit to be complete. I know I'm missing a few pieces. If anyone has tools for sale, just let me know.
Thanks, Mike

Which piece is above the Allen Wrench? I don't think I have that.
Manual sunroof crank?

What is the tow loop looking thing... a tow loop? If so, where does it fit into the car? And from the PET diagram, what is pictured with the loop?
I definitely don't have that/those in my tool kit.

Hi Allen,
Yes that is a tow loop and it screws in on the driver side of the rear bumper under the rubber strip. The one on the PET diagram shows a hook type tow loop and the pic is the screw on type. You can check your car to see if your car used it by looking under that rubber strip and see if there is a black plug there. I have the screw type with my 85 euro turbo look also. The part next to the look in the PET diagram is the spark plug wrench which is also in the actual picture next to it.

The tow hook works for Euro bumpers, but I believe the hole it goes through is covered by the more massive USA bumpers making this ineffective.
Question--- when I arrange the parts in the tool bar as indicated, I can't close the flaps of the toolbag. I need to put the lug nut wrench at some other---more central-- spot to allow the flaps to old and close on one another... ---Wil

What is the long allen wrench with the rubber bumper at the tip used for?
Thanks, Steve

Long allen with rubber tip gains access to the front hold down clamp on the battery....rubber "holds" the allen bolt so it won't fall down in the nether recesses....
Also...what does the small length of metal tubing do ?? I also find a "tube" with a 10 mm and 13 mm hex on each end in my kit. --Wil

Hey thanks for the pics and the input. Would anyone have a spare screwdriver and spark plug socket for sale?
Regards, Mike

After having had my car for 5 years, I've only found two items in the toolkit "needed", the fan pully wrench and the spark plug tool. Everything else can easily be duplicated by a trip to Sears. The tools also feel kind of cheap (pliers). I think it was designed for the not so handy stranded motorist and not the type on this board.

If anyone is interested in a partial kit, let me know.
Here are some pictures of what I have. Say, $100 plus shipping via FedEx
