Sorry I missed this post. Here is another data point. I removed the torn speaker from my 71T. It was original and had no adaptor plate. It was screwed directly to the dash using speed clips and sheet metal screws. the same thing with my project car.

Wayne, welcome to OSH. I've been going for 3 years. Used to drive 15 miles to hit one, but they built one within a mile. Hooray!
BTW, the original Orchard Supply Hardware was even better. The are now owned by Sears and it shows. They just removed one entire dept and moved in about 400 sq ft of appliances. Damnit, if I want to buy a washer, I'll go to Sears or an appliance store. All good things come to an end. |
