Oh, I wish that I had this sort of money laying around! If I did I'd be on my way to Italy right now to pick this up! Especially with no Reserve!!! Who cares if it's a recreation (note the gear shift lever). It fits the spirit exactly.

For the price of a couple Formula Atlantic cars, you could have this!

Ohhhh -- the curves of those voluptuous fendors!,

the sound of that engine right next to your ears!

The gull wing doors!

I don't understand why there aren't more of these around! With the exception getting uprights, everything else should be fairly straight forward to fabricate or strip off of a 911.

Play nice! Stop teasing us with these ads. Built in 68. It truly has the spirit. Will they take a check?!

What about this one.

To be honest, the difference between the two cars' price will be about $200K. Now would I pay $200K for a serial number tag and a bunch of subtle details that most people would never notice???

hmmmmm.

Not unless I had a one or two million laying around looking around for an automotive investment. Given my current portfolio I doubt that that will happen any time soon.

But I could definitely dream about $70K +/- as a way to hide some cash from my daughters' student loan application.

This car offered for $70,000 is located in Sint-Truiden, Belgium. If anyone is serious and wants it checked out, I have a good friend that is Police Chief of a nearby town. I had dinner with him in Sint-Truiden last Nov. as that is where is daughters, boyfriend's mother lives....The Chief is a m/c and VW bug buff that would give an honest opinon....

John - that's awesome! Wonder if it could be made street-legal ....... more importantly, I wonder if he'd consider an even-up trade for a white peppervagen. ;)

Now's your chance Curt! The 906 replica auction closes in 10 hours and there still isn't a single bid on it. Keep in mind there is no reserve on it, so if you're the only bidder it's yours.

All we need is.....ummmm.....3-4 guys on this list to be part owners of this car...

Get to drive it at least once a month ( assuming 4 owners...)

Like the days when people ponied up money to buy a commercial jet. I've known some nutcases locally that did just that.
