Michael,
What on earth did you use to clean it that well? I spent about two hours with a brush, simple green and goo gone.

The pictures look better then in real life.
Some guy came by the house selling this all purpose cleaner. I sprayed it on, let it sit, hit is with a brush and then used a sponge to wipe off. I will see if I still have some, I might have used it all on the last well. Who has the SOCG graphic? Michael

Thanks for the info on the cleaner. I will keep trying, I stained the driveway again so I will need to find something to clean that as well.

I too have this project on my list and after one failed attempted using Simple green with a weak POS powerwasher am curious if anyone else has used any other methods.

The PO of my Carrera lived in a rural area with oil and stone roads. The entire undercarrage looked like it was paved!
I drove it over to a truck stop with a steam cleaning bay early on a Sunday morning. Brought the speed jack and stands, and popped all wheels off. The combination of steam, pressure and whatever solvent they use melted the gunk away incredibly. Im talking spotless- behind the hoses and lines, brackets, oil cooler etc. Looked new when done. There was enough road gunk to fill a couple of good size buckets laying under the car. An unbelievable mess. Satisfied after about 4 hours, I washed the car and was on my way. They charged me about $70 and cleaned up the bay after I left. I think that was the best $70 that was spent on the car to date. Dave

At work I have access to a high pressure steam cleaner, it peeled the crud off with ease. Good luck

I used 3m adhesive remover that I sprayed on and simple green. scrubbed the 3m with a bristle brush. sprayed the simple green on full strength and let it sit.
Everything came off pretty easily after that. ![]()

Be careful with Simple Green-it attacks AL in a big way. Make sure you get it off asap. Also, be careful with pressure washers-One slip and you could be repainting a fender.
