failed rear sway bar mount
Hi Guys,
My car has been handling different lately feeling unstable on the rear tires, a quick lane change at 70 to 80 really got my attention. I checked it out and here is what I found, the right rear sway bar mount has failed, have any of you had to deal with this and what do you know about repairs? Thanks, Jack 87 Carrerahttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1096814958.jpg |
It's a common problem. A bracket is available from Porsche and other suppliers that you mechanic or a local muffler shop can weld on.

Sergio, please elaborate on the bracket. I called and asked and got nowhere. Unless it's the ones for $70/pr. I'll make my own for that.

If you are planning on tracking the car, get the Smart Racing ones. The factory reinforced ones fail as well. I had one let go at Watkins Glen.
Cheers, James |
I replaced my cracked one with the a new factory reinforced bracket (Pelican: C-501-983-00) Its a perfect fit and an easy install.
