How much wheel stud?

I have late offset Rufs (55mm?) with 30mm spacers front and rear. The right rear wheel is so close to the oil lines that I cannot fit a finger between them. I ordered 6.5mm spacers from our host, who says they will fit without longer studs. But since I already have longer studs for the existing spacers, I am wondering if the new spacers will still work. Hence my question: what length of stud does the nut need to be safe?

If you have through hole lug nuts, how much thread is protruding? If you have the capped lug nuts, how many turns of thread engagement?

Stock studs are 45mm so you can just add 45 to your spacer thickness to determine your requirement.

Find an old open headed nut and put it on....if it is fully engaged, you're cool...if the stud is flat against the top of the nut, you're about out of room and need longer studs.

I have capped lug nuts. have to wait till I get home to count number of turns. What is a good number?
Is that 45mm total length of the stud or 45mm protruding from the mounting base? I dont know the total length of the longer studs I have in now, but I can easily measure the length of stud from the mounting plate.
