Fuchs part number help: list incomplete?
 

Porsche 911 Performance By Bruce A. lists a 911 362 117 00 as the 8x16 part number, but I have talked with folks that have a 361 part number. Is this an omission, and are there others, or an easy explanation?

Nice list, but I have to ask: Are the part numbers stamped somewhere on the wheels? Where on each style of wheel? Is there any list with pictures of each model wheel?

I'm trying to identify the wheels on a 1970 Targa that appears to be a European car (the guages are all metric); the only number I can see -- with the tires still on the rims -- is a "7,70" with a "44" below it stamped inside on the center of hub, between the lug holes. They're 15 inch -- I assume theses are the "6's," though I'm not sure where to measue the width?

I particularly want to know if these are the "flat" or "deep" style Fuchs -- which I understand represents a siginificant difference in price. I'll post some pictures later if that will help to identify them.

Clean the entire inside surface of the wheel completely. The part number will exist on one of the spokes....should be close to where you found the 44 or the AS type symbols...or the Porshce triangle or "fox" ( Fuchs) symbol.

If it does not have numbering like this, they might be copies.

Nice picture.....but...

what you show as offset is not offset.....look instead for "ET"....in German this is " eintritt-tieffe"....loosely translated as "offset depth"

Superb tech content and answers here guys. Thanks! Looks like Bruce's book just didn't list all the numbers possible, according to the excellent link. Now if I could just find 16x9s for under $30,000, I'd be set. Oh well, my son doesn't need to go to college that bad. :D

Thanks, everyone. Dirt and grime were hiding the numbers. They are the 901.361.012.06s, which means the wheels are worth the price I paid for the entire car! I’m a happy camper!

Loosely translated, I think I said....still I do think it's Eintrit ( one or two "t" 's at the end) tieffe.

Anyway, may want to look what this guy says...

My German is very rusty but I believe "Eintritt" means entrance/entry something like that
