I have been hunting down a boost pressure guage problem and found a broken wire in the control plug area. I didn't take enough care with this and all the pins have come out. I have no idea which one goes where! The holes are numbered 1 - 14 could someone please please tell me which colours go where or send me a wire diagram.

				Thanks

Assuming the wiring is the same as a '78 930, then it's:

			Pin-wire color 01-Yellow 02-Red 03-Green/Back 04-Green/Brown 05-Green/Yellow 06-Brown/Gray 07-White 08- Brown/Black 09-Green/White 10-Red/White 11-Blue 12-blank 13-Brown/White 14-Black/Purple and Red (two wires) You may want to have this confirmed before you use this information.

Hi Guys, Thanks to TurboBert some of the colours match, but I'm still not quite there, please I know this is a ball ache to check out, but I'm desperate to fix this up, could someone with a 911 from 83-89 preferably a Turbo, check these colours. Your help is much appreciated.

the ends pretty much keep their position, out of the plug, as long as you don't twist them around, so they should still be in order.

Hi John thanks for your input, yes I agree with you, with that and the simalarities TurboBert gave me, I've pieced it together; but it now doesn't start! Absolutely no power to the coil. So to rule out absolutely the plug I wanted to make 110% sure, before looking elsewhere. If I put a volt meter from the male, to the female with ignition on, would you expect all pins to show a reading?

By the way good luck with the Bus stop issue, keep us informed.

you won't find much power to the coil because it's a CD system. checking voltage with a test light is not a good idea around electronics like the CD unit. use a digital volt meter. check power at the red wire going into the CD unit. that can be done with a test light. while you were in there fixing the plug, you may have dislodged the over-rev cutoff relay, that yellow one, just above the plug. if it breaks it's connection, the pumps won't run.

Cheers John, will go check now, your prompt reply is much appreciated. Have to turn flood lights on out the back, as it pitch black here now!

Hi, Well progressed a little further, did the light test on the Red/White wire leading into the CD box and lit up when ignition was on, CD box whining away too. I then checked with a digital volt meter the brown/white and white wires on the coil - Nothing, But when brown/white and side of car there seemed something at first full votage but then only 2-3 Volts, the white wire to the car was nothing? What voltage would you expect across the coil? Would the immobilizer affect it?

The over-rev cutoff relay above the plug was fine. Any more suggestions taken willingly.

you probably have spark if the CD whines. probably, so check the fuel pump fuse. 6th fuse from the windshield forward. also you should feel a vibration when the pumps run. have someone crank the key while you feel the rear pump, which is easier than the front one to get at. car in neutral please.
