New wheel pix and some other stuff....

Well I took my smashed mystery wheel to a local place that manufactures and repairs wheels. They are still a mystery and may or may not be repairable. Thay said if they try and it doesnt work out I still owe them for thier time.....Not being a gambler I layed claim to these puppies.

Before the eagle eyes swoop in I know the rim is mounted on the wrong side of the car, I know the wheels are HEAVY, and I know that I have little rust bubbles poking out around the jack reciever.

Also finally got an extra horn grill and got rid of the ugly screen I was using for my oil coller vent.

You are going to die with those wheels on your car. I just hope it doesn't happen while you are in a cross walk full of school children!

LOL @ Kurt! They look great.

Hope you're just trial fitting them... the treads look like they're facing backwards!

[edit] I can't believe how different that car is from when you got it. It's just awesome!

Looks good Shawn. I'm going to try some late model rims on mine too for a stop gap fix until I choose to spend the funds on custom rims. First will come the brake upgrades....function before beauty. I like the grills and it has came aways since "Tweeks" car show.

Are you going to the swap meet this weekend?

Shawn, of all of the later model cast Porsche wheels those are my favorite. I always wanted some in black for my black carrera, but couldn't talk myself on going from Fuchs to those.

They are aftermarket 17's. SC offset 7 and 9" wide. Probably gonna be awhile before they touch the ground.....I am gonna jack the tire up to check clearance.

Luke,
Gonna miss the swap. Too much going on.

Souk,
The mystery rims were forged. These are cast. We all know they would explode!

Kevin,
I was just at Jerrys. I think he has claimed more real estate.
