I dont think that is my problem but, I noticed it was NLA but, the 78-79 was still around. Are they compatible (for future info)
Thanks,

same dimensions. they pretty much all are. the difference between them is the volume of air they pass when cold or hot, and how long it takes the valve to warm up and close as far as it's going to close. a 78/79 unit should be fine. have you seen the price on them lately? bosch parts are thru the roof.

I just purchased a used AAR off a Volvo from Ebay for $0.99, thinking that I might attempt to convert it to a solenoid type valve when mine quit. When the thing arrived, it was about half the size of every other AAR I've seen. The prices for the AAV, AAR and decel valves are crazy, leaving the door wide open for someone to come up with a better solution and make some money.
