Question 3.3 Turbo vs 3.6 Turbo steering feel question...

Had a chance to drive a friends '94 3.6 Turbo and immediately noticed that the steering wheel felt pretty light as compared to mine
I have no leak in my rack and the fluid was just flushed and the car has always felt this way ever since i bought it 2-1/2 years ago..
So can someone tell me if the steering rack/ratio are the same on both the cars and if yes then how do i trouble shoot this problem ?
Thanks

Light steering is major complaint to some. Later model owners have been known to complain about the lack of "road feel"
