Dallas Swap Meet and Coffee

Are any of you Dallas Pelicanites going to the Zim's swap meet on Saturday Oct. 16th? Maybe some of us could get together for coffee\breakfast.

This will probably be my last weekend in Dallas as I am moving back up to Ann Arbor Michigan. Wouldn't you know it, just in time to put the SC in storage. Luckily my new house has a 2 1/2 car extra deep garage.

I know there are some places along 183 but I don't know the area well enough to say what is close. Can anyone from the Euless\Bedford\Hurst area suggest some place?

A coffee and scone works for me at the above mentioned Starbucks around 7:30. I want to be there early to look for some needed parts.

garner2002 says there is a Starbucks at 183 and 157, which looks like it would be the exit to get off 183 West if going to Zims. The Starbucks website doesn't show one there but I think I have seen some kind of breakfast place on the corner.

I will get there about 7:30 . I know it's early but I want to be at Zim by 8 AM and have first crack at the good stuff. I'd send you my cell number but Friday is my last day at my current company and I have to turn in my phone.

Ah geez, another swap meet.....

I was going to go flying and buzz some friends out dirtbike riding, but I'll pull a John Kerry and hook up with you guys. Actually, I forgot about Zim's this weekend. Always on the lookout for parts...should be selling some.

The other thing going on Saturday is the car show over at Unique Performance in Farmer's Branch. They're the guys who do the nice Shelby GT Restorations/Builds on fastback Mustangs. Chip Foose is supposed to be there. That's on my afternoon list, to add some Euro flair to the Muscle Car get together.

Where exactly is the SB's? I'm not sure where 157 is, does it have a street name?

I talked to a guy at Zim this morning and got some info on the area. 157 is the road with the stop light that you exit 183 westbound so you can follow the service road up to Zims on Reliance Pkwy. I was told that the Starbucks is on the East bound service road of 183 about 50 ft east of 157. There is also a Denny's there or a little farther west on the east bound service road is an IHOP. I'd say IHOP is a better choice for breakfast. I plan to get there between 7 and 7:30 get something to eat before the Swap Meet. Here's a link to the location. From the picture on the map, it looks like you might have to get off at the Westpark exit and circle around the south side back up to the East bound service road.
