Wheel input please
I have a 79 SC and the 16x7 Fuchs dont fill out the back fender as much as I like or could. My question is what do to? 16x8 Black Fuchs are expensive and fairly hard to come by. I would love to get a set and move the 7s up front and sell my 6s. But there is quite a bit of money there, espcially for someone my age. Another option would be spacers, of which I dont know much about. Are they safe? How will they affect my handleing, good or bad? They are by far the less expensive option but im not sure how that would work. Any guidence would be very helpful.
P.S. If you have some black centered 16x8 Fuchs in good condition for a street car let me know how much you are askin. |
Specers greater than, I think, 6mm are not recommended without longer studs. Not enough threads exposed. Start by putting your car to Euroi height if you haven't already. Then save for Fuchs, or go BBS or another brand if you don't mind a little heavier. Use the search engine for info on Euro height reference.

Its a Euro so its allready there, which may add to the fact of fender gap being a little more noticable

I used bolt-on 35mm spacers w/7's on my SC,
They look Great! Looks like I've got 9's on there! I will have a set of 8's for sale shortly, you're not too far in case you want to see them. Pete |
Matthew,
Do what we do: First, price a full set of Fuchs 8 x 16s and 9 x 16s. After that, buying a pair of 8s will be a walk in the park! Ed LoPresti RacePro Engineering |
