911 electrical consumption
I disconnected everything I could think of in my '86 911; alarm, stereo, clock, and there is still a small drain out the neg. of the battery. Is this the way it should be?

Keep the meter connected and start pulling fuses. When the draw stops check to see which system it is and investigate.
While you are in there clean off the connections of the fuse block. They tend to get corroded over time. JoeA

What year and model car is it?
Some radios and alarm systems have static drains, but it should never exceed 100 mA ... 0.100 Amp!

Spec stand-by draw for your car is about 16-18 mA....pretty low.
