The 912-6 rocks!!!

First track day with the 912-6 rocked!! Other than some oil temp issues, had no problems on the track. Didn't have to worry about brakes with the carrera setup. Can't wait for the next one in December.

That looks great! I don't normally like the yellow headlamps, but they suit your car.

Are your cup wheels 17x7 all round? Any fitment issues or rubbing problems?

Adam, the yellow headlamps are just racers tape....

The only rubbing issues I had with the 7x17 were actually the fronts. I've got 1.25 spacers in front and 1" in back, the drivers front caught the lip just a hair. I rolled my maglight flashlight up between the tire and the fender and it was fixed up. I'll probably switch the front and rear spacers for the next DE, even out the track width a little more, there is plenty of room in the back for another .25". One other thing is I am running stiffer front and rear torsion bars.

That's great John, glad to see the car running like it was meant to be driven. I guess you got the main seal fixed.

If Dec. is too far away... The potomac region has openings for their Nov 11/12? DE at CMP. They put on a great event.

Yeah Jamie, we pulled the motor and changed the seal when I did my safety inspection. Started at 9, have the motor back in and running by 2. The elring seal made all the difference.

I'd be ready for November, but my checkbook won't be, so I'll wait till dec. I've got a few more things to do to the car before then, and Dave wouldn't mind me painting his car eventually.

I wasn't going to bring up his car. Glad you know you are having fun on the track. I am waiting until registration opens next week for a Dec 4-5 event here in TX. Maybe by then it will finally cool off around here. It was 92 yesterday and should be the same the rest of the week.

Dave probably wouldn't like it if he found out I put on the fender flares on my car before his car got painted, so they will have to wait till the spring.
