Please identify my engine

Engine number: 6631129

Thanks in advance.

663xxxx is a '73 rs # right?

pwd72s 10-18-2004 04:37 PM

With that number, you could probably sell it, use the proceeds to build something more powerful for your replica car...

Matt Holcomb 10-18-2004 04:45 PM

Noah,

That's what I thought ...

Paul,

That's the plan! I want to build a 3.0 or a 3.5.

Tinton 10-18-2004 04:47 PM

Nice number.

I just assumed with the 2.9L displacement that you had an aluminium case.

So what is a geniune RS Motor worth

Matt Holcomb 10-18-2004 05:41 PM

Noah,

Great minds think alike! I've got a copy of the "Carrera RS" book at home.

Do you know if there's a '73 RS registry?

CliffBrown 10-18-2004 07:04 PM

Matt

I just sent an email to an RS collector here in San Francisco regarding your motor. I'll let you know if he has any interest. He keeps track of several others around the country, he might know is anyone is looking.

It's that hot noisy thing with all the wires and hoses in the back of your car. Geez, even I know that.

Maybe if it has enough history with it, it would be better to hold onto it?
