Go have a beer in the Menger hotel's bar (look for bullet holes
 )...then go down to Dirty Nelly's on the river for beer (I think it's Nelly's). There is a good piano guy there...entertaining.

Souk...this is my old stomping grounds (8 years here) so I am aware of them....my favorite is Howl at the moon (piano bar) and Allstars is not bad either but Susan would kill me! Ha ha

I have birthday plans with my wife (her b-day) all day Sat. If you are here on Sunday we could go for a spin. I live in Austin and would be happy to buy you a margarita and lunch at Chuy's. I am sure I could round up a few people as well. I know there are many people heading to Dallas for the Sat. swap meet at Zim's. It would be a 4.5 hour drive from SA but it might be better than an hotel all day.

If any Dallas, Houston or SA people want to meet up we have a great day planned for Smitty. WE will meet at 830 in the grocery store parking lot at the corner of 1431 and Lakeline on Sunday morning. It will be a fun drive out to Marble Falls for breakfast. From there we go North to Burnet for a tour of the CAF facility to check on plane restorations. Next we go inspect an early car that I may buy. Then back down south towards Fredericksburg for a late lunch, returning Smitty to SA that night.
Come on out and support our fellow Pelican who happens to be serving our country. Guaranteed good time for all. My wife will be out of town so I have extra room if anyone wants to come down Sat night. I will also have a passenger seat if anyone who's car is in non-operational status wants to come.

" On SATURDAY, I,m currently planning to pickup K9handler in the early AM, then we may head out to Rosanky, where there is a fairly cool car museum, then possibly take spin through that area, out to I-35 and by the collector car dealer in New Braunfels, or such.. barbeque lunch somewhere in the area.... Anybody want to join up, we are meeting at the Whataburger! at the Tanger Discount Shopping area, exit 199a (I think) on I=35 between N Braunfels & S Marcos.
