Who Owned My Car In Portland?
I am trying to find out some details on who owned my 74 911 in the past.
I just received paperwork from Oregon DMV and it appears that it was registered on Sep 01, 1989. The original plate was GHG723 and the new plate was QFP664. There is also some paperwork referring to the "Vehicle Certificate of Title" and lists the First Interstate Bank of Oregon, 5th/Salmon branch, Portland, OR on the title (My guess is there was a loan taken out for the vehicle). It was sold for $10,000.00 and the "Date of Application" on the Vehicle Certificate of Title is 02/06/87. It lists the car as having 95,500 miles at time of sale. There is also a "Title Number" listed as 6704210113. The VIN is 9114101244. It also lists a "License Number" as 611A36. Below is a picture of the car and it would have had 15 X 6" Fuchs and US style headlights. I basically would like to thank the previous owners for looking after this thing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

DMV does not release this info as I recall.
You can contact PCA, broadcast on various web boards. Look for the dealer and see if there are records they'll show you. People may or may not reply even if they do see your msg. or even if you send letters. I found out 4 or 5 PO's from receipts and wrote them nice letters for the cars 30th birthday and asked for info on the color it was when they had it and what mods they had done. No one replied. Do you have any old receipts? |
