Winter Storage - BAD
Not sure if I got this pic from here a while back or not...
But anyhow, it's neat to look at. For those of us dealing with the freeze this winter; ![]() OUCH. Jim

My question is, how exactly do you go about fixing a problem like this?

Maybe Wayne can set up a filter that would block these kinds of repetitive postings... a little AI and object recognition programming should do it.

Easy on the repetition comments, no big deal. Besides its a reminder for the one person out there that did this not to do it again. As far as fixing that mess, I would start with a beer and a glass of hot water. The beer for me and the hot water for the car.

The text cracks me up everytime: $150k in luxury cars? I don't think that's 150,000 pesos, much less dollars.

Easy on the repetition comments...
- No one atacked the poster. He doesn't know its been posted dozens of times. And he hasn't been on the list long (or else he's been lurking). Instead, this points up that some sort of tips or instructions would be a good thing for someone who is first joining the list. |

Randy,
Your point is valid. My comments weren't directed at you, they were in general. A topic can be easily buried on the board and others are afraid to repost because of repetition. In my opinion, its better that something comes up multiple times so someone will not make the same mistakes as others and new people who have not been here as long can see it. Obviously this is referring to something more substantial and not a picture of a frozen Porsche. The moderators can always merge similiar discussions if it was a major concern for them. Chris

Does anyone really know what kind of damage it caused? I just went down to TN to look at the P38 that was recovered from under the ice cap after 40 years, you can really fix anything if you have mega money.

Probably no damage to the cars...just let them thaw. Maybe the cab roof was buckled a bit. Even teh 911 looks like it just has snow on it. Remember, they make cars to sit outside and get some snow and ice on them!
150K?! Funny! A 20K 911, a old VW cab, and an Cherokee??? If thats the high life, I'm closer than I thought!

Well, as this shot is a few years old...they migh thave thawed bu now!
I would get a propane heater, leave the doors open 6" or so, and let it run. Some basic shoveling and picking would be a good start too! But I bet that these cars were just fine. Even the cab, at least when the top was down!
