Compression test equipment
I want to do a compression test on the SC when I change the plugs out tomorrow.
Is this a good tester to get? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1098515506.jpg http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=TOOL&pid=00 947089000&tab=spe#tablink I don't know much about them- is it difficult to secure the hose end in the 911 plug holes? It looks as if it doesn't actually screw into the hole- is this bad? Will I be ok cranking the optima for this task (I don't own a battery charger?) Thanks. |
That tool looks fancy. I think a one piece hose would work the best cause of how deep the holes are. Your batt should be fine for the test.

Yes, it is good, that is the latest model of the one I have. The screw in rather than press in plug fitting is the only way to go.
