Have you ever noticed that most shops have shelves with the Mitchell books? They used those books for repair info, stats, time estimates...

Well, Mitchell has put all of their info onto CD now, and they lease this software to shops, I think it's about $2500 a year at least. Well, all of you computer types that have file sharing software... do a search for mitchell on demand. It's on the net. It's got TSB's and recalls as well as repair info, and I'm sure much more. It may not be the end all be all, but I think it's probably pretty cool. You'll want a high speed connection and lots of time because there are 9 CD's for Domestic cars and 9 for imports, so at 600 MB's on average you're looking at about 11 GB's of download, and they aren't plentiful because of the commitment involved, but they are out there.


... or so I've been told.

Mitchell re-draws all their wiring diagrams vs Alldata which has the factory originals.

Doing file sharing of Mitchell's data is thief of another's work. Just as is the MP3
or other file sharing, & making PDFs of Porsche literature and selling on Ebay.
