A very good day indeed. It started out early this beautiful cloudless morning with a nice 7 AM drive with the top down to meet about 50+ other Porsche drivers and their cars at the monthly breakfast get-together of the local PCA chapter. I met some very nice and interesting people and saw all types of 911's - from a pair of 356C's to all the way up to a brand new grey 997 (sweet

I can finally listen to the actual radio as opposed to only CD's because I finally got around to fixing the electric antenna. I've had the car for two months now and that darn antenna's been in the down position ever since I brought it home. It turns out that the PO never hooked up the wiring to the radio. A little experimentation and then sucess! The antenna works as designed. I also finally got tired of using the 'ol stick to prop up my hood so I changed out the hood shocks. What a piece of cake. What took me so long?! Sweet. Now the hood stays up by itself. While I was in there I replaced the light bulb under the hood. Now, when the hood opens at night, I get light instead of total pitch-blackness. I pulled my front bumper and did some adjusting of its position. It just didn't seem to be sitting quite right on the car. Now it is. When all was said and done, I took the car out for a nice evening spin to run some errands for my wife. Funny how we will look for any "excuse" to get out and drive the Porsche. So, all in all, it was an excellent day. ![]() |
