911 Questions be honest

Ok How many times do you look at your 911 before leave the garage?? Is it a double take or do you stare at it. Everytime I see it I find my self looking at the classic lines and love the rear portion the best. What about you??

Every time!!!!!!!!!!

The lines of the 911SC are just so nice, especially lowered as she is, and now knowing that I've personally performed open heart surgery (engine rebuild) and made her better, how could I not take a fond, last look as I cover her up in the garage, and turn out the lights.

My car is stripped way down while doing rust repairs, but I often find myself out in the garage getting something as my wife will come looking for me and I'm just oogling over the car picturing the finished project. It isn't just a car to me, its a dream since I was 10 yrs old. I'm extremely proud to own a Porsche and even though it began as a '71T, when finished it will be a nasty, nasty screamer and amazing how a 33 soon to be 34 year old car still turns heads and people seem to think its a 100K priced car. Porsche is like no other car and I'm very happy with mine!

I agree with Andras. i have done so many upgrades that I feel "connected" to my car. This is a dream car for me as well. Even though it has been frustrating at times, I still wouldn't trade it for anything but to get a Turbo. In fact, I plan on giving my SC to my son in about 16 years. I will then get a matching color Turbo. WOO HOO!!

LOL I've been guilty of running the duster over it several times in the same day, even if it hasn't left the garage.

I smoke cigarrettes and instead of going outside by my pool, I go out to the garage open the door, and stare like a dumb ass at my car!

Hi, my name is greg and I have a problem... I just sit and look at my car, imagining what it will look like when it is back together.

Sometimes I just peak in to the garage to make sure she is napping safely.

Hi my name is Andras, and I'm a Poscheholic.

There are days when I'm in my garage, smoking a cigar, and gazing fondly at the SC, and imagining how I might combine the cigar and the Porsche, to make them one.

Do I need help?

I'm an (relatively)new owner (may 04) and when I'm not driving my car, I'm looking at it. When I can't see it, I'm thinking about it. When I'm at work (don't tell the boss) I'm on line reading about it!

I'm hooked.

Every time I am within eyeshot, I look, and at least twice as I walk away. Also, when I drive up the driveway in one of my other cars, and as the garage door opens revealing the 911, I always say, "Look at that, look at that! There's a Porsche in our garage!"
Kids and the wife are a bit tired of that.

When I got my SC many months ago, I found myself every 5 minutes or so just going out to look at it...

Now I've had it a while, and you'd think the novelty would ware off. It hasn't. We just moved into a house with a real (even if its tiny) garage. I found myself lying under my car just staring at the engine... For what must have been over an hour. Just looking and staring. Mind you, I was pretty faded at the time.

The next day I had a very bad cold. But I still managed to find time to spend in the garage with my car. I wish I could do more work and less staring though :/ I'm still unable to get the other rear seat out (that big slotted screw just won't turn for me!).

All the time! Sometime's I go into the garage to get something and catch myself staring at the car and forgetting why I went to the garage in the first place.

Do you smile when you walk toward your car in the store parking lot? Mine still catches my eye when i walk into the garage. I have a picture of mine at work and home as my desktop. There are pictures of the kids around here somewhere but It may take a while to find them... Is this wrong?

Nearly every night I go out and sit in the garage and smoke one of my wifes cigs and and then get in and sit in it for a moment. Sometimes I drag her out with me. True Love..............I mean the wife too of course

This is one of my favorite threads. I dont feel different anymore.

I find myself at odd hours of the day and night outside in or by my SC. The first night I got it I sat in it and looked at it from 9pm to about 11:30pm. Needless to say my girlfriend seems a bit jealous, but she understands that I have a disease and she needs to respect that.
