PPI in Pittsburgh? What PCA chapter covers Pittsburgh?

Can anyone recommend a shop in or near Pittsburgh for a PPI? Thank you.

It is the Allegheny Region. Where is the car located? There are several shops around town. One popular shop is John Raysich's place. Several of us on the board utilize the services of an underground guru that is a great mechanic but really doesn't have the facility (or inclination I'd wager) to do PPI's. There is also Manage My Car and McB Autosport. If the car is relatively new, you could try the very well reputed services of the Sewickley Car Store which is a dealership. Give me a little more info and I'll find a phone number or two for you. We also have a service in town called "Auto Critic". The guy who does the inspections is a former Porsche/BMW mechanic. He actually goes to the car and does the inspection on site. He then grades virtually every component of the car on a scale. Very comprehensive. I recommend him highly. I can get that number too.

If it was me, I would use C & G Performance. Ask for Allan or Pete. Pete is a great mechanic that worked previously at The local Porsche dealership. Very, very picky. He has worked on my car numerous times and help finished my brothers 911. I would use the Porsche dealership as a last resort since you will have no idea who will be doing the PPI and the price will be high. As for the guru , too difficult to get to commit. Give me some more info about the car and I could possibly help. Porsche owners around here usually know everything about each others car. Allegheny Region PCA C and G Performance, INC. 2100 Big Sewickly Creek Road Sewickley, PA 15143 724 266 1646 "Champ" Owner Pete Dellmer (sp?) mechanic. My friend in Dayton just agreed to buy that car yesterday (Pending is physical inspection) and is picking it up on Sat. No joke. I actually looked at the car for him two Sunday's ago and test drove it. Nice car with original paint and nice upgrades. Interior is perfect. Eric is a nice guy. If the deal with my friend falls through, I would suggest using John Raysich's place as it is much closer to were Eric lives. BTW, a previous prospective buyer of the car got a PPI done a John's place and bounce a check to him. C&G s quite a trek. Noel

Arghhhhh...man I just can't catch a break. I was planning on seeing the car this Saturday. I either find the perfect car too late, or it fails PPI. I think I'm gonna give up on ever buying a 911 and concentrate on AMC Gremlins. Oh well, the search continues... Last edited by plymouthcolt; 10-26-2004 at 06:14 PM.. | ||
