Yeah, this car is about 10 miles from my house. I have seen it twice in person. It has been for sale for atleast a year. I would be a great car if it was not so freakin ugly. Actually if you removed all of the rear spoiler or had just a normal turbo tail it would not be that bad.

Looks like a Stormtrooper. Anyone think that that style will ever come into fashion?

45k in engine work is what caught my attention - by the looks of the engine bay somebody got ripped off. You kidding me with that? Would take major surgery to make that thing right... -Jeff

Actually, I still have the original R&T Exotic Cars that featured the Gemballa Avalanche (Dec. 1987). Back in the '80s it was a sick looking car. The performance #s given in the ad are way off, assuming that it is a Gemballa. There are several things that tell me that it's not, though. I think I saw this ad before too, and the guy was wanting like $80K or more for it.

You know, this may sound like heresy, but picture the thing without the crap on the rear window, and without the wing (maybe a 964 turbo S wing or something). I agree, for the money it's crap, but if you made those changes it would look a LOT better.

i am curious about the engine specs...a RUF modified engine is pretty desirable...if it really is a RUF motor Interior is for the most part un-molested I wonder if the slant nose parts are the real deal steel parts...again pretty desirable to some people tear off the rear wing nonsense, redo the sides...you have a slant nose turbo car with a Ruf motor....that is not too shabby looks like he wants 85K...on the window someone should email the guy and get engine specs...I wonder if gemballa looks back on that car and shakes their heads in disbelief that it is their seed...hahaha MJ Last edited by 82SC; 10-26-2004 at 02:40 PM.. | ||

Whatever it is, someone put a ton of money into this frosty beast. I do like this quote from the auction, as weird as it sounds: when you step on gas and pop clutch hold on to your head or it'll end up in the back seat

Ive seen this car several times cause the place is not that far away either. It was also at Hershey this year. They've been stuck with that pig for much more then a year, its about the 4th or 5th time on Ebay too. I dont see how its worth anywhere near the asking price anyway you slice the pie. I also agree with everyone, rip that ugly tail thing off and do some body work and it might be a screamer. I would Imagine its very tough to match that pearl white paint?
