What oil pump shoud I use in my 67S rebuild?

The original one looks fair, there's some scratch marks on the impellers (is this bad?) and a little bit of play when turning it (i.e. the impellers will click a bit as it rotates).

What I'd really like to know though, is there a better pump that requires no case modifications, and if so, how do I identify these as I'll probably be looking for a used one. Thanks, Bill

I think others may have to chime in here, but my recollection is that the later 3.2 or Turbo pumps are a good upgrade that would fit, it appears the 964 are even "better" but I don't know if they are bigger and if they'll fit.

Use this as a start and hopefully others with more direct knowledge can confirm.
