WARNING!! anyone allergic to fourty year old fiberglass stay clear of this thread

the seat I bought just showed up today from Germany and this is without a doubt the earliest recaro bucket that I've ever seen, check it out

yes, it's a very early verison of the sport seat bracket used on 911 bucket and reclining sport seats

All kiding aside ... the covering on the back looks like the vintage wool carpet used in VW Beetles, maybe 356s as well in the '50s or '60s ...

I think I saw a very similar seat one time in a white '63 356 Carrera 2!

This is a great seat to document how they were originally covered. Looks like it was well used.
Love the good old Porsche pinstripes.

The rear cover has the same shape as a rear 911 floor mat too.
