Vacuum Line Replacement Questions
 

I am getting ready to replace the vacuum lines on my 84 Carrera. I've noted that there are several Lines that are not pre-molded into a specific shape. Some are cloth (see picture) and some are black (silicon?)


1. Can I replace the braided cloth with silicon lines or do I need to replace them with the same braided cloth lines.

2. If yes to my first question, where can I get replacement silicon lines. I don't see them in Pelican's catalog.

3. Does any one know where I can get a vacuum line diagram for an 85 Carrera. I have looked every where and can not find one. The latest I could find was one for an 83 SC.

Thanks. Using your sugessstion I also found a few other diagrams on Pelican's site that seemd to have vacuum lines in them that this picture does not show. I would be nice to have an all inclusive diagram or list so I do not miss anything. I just ordered a Bentley manual, but found out it does not have the vacuum diagam either. According to posts on Bentely's site it looks like they wil FAX you copy if you request one.
