PMO Parts

Does anyone know where I can buy PMO carb parts near the Burbank area? Specifically I need the Fuel fitting that the fuel line actually connects to on the carb itself. I want to make a complete loop (circuit) of the fuel lines.

Main line feeding into each carb, then a second (loop) running from the back of the carb to the other carb completeing the circuit. Similar to what you see here.

Thanks

Hey- I don't remember approving my car, or at least my engine compt., for a modeling gig...

To answer your question, the fittings are not PMO exclusive. Any place that supplies braided line and fittings can supply what you need. I put mine together with parts from Earls, not PMO.

Here's how it looks now.

Where's your coil? On the sidewall? Coil line looks like it runs towards the left engine mount.
I assume you are running an SS or similar?

What's the difference between the carb air housings you have and my standard large housing with round filter?
Any performance difference? Looks cleaner...

Where is your oil tank hose, the one that connects to the air intake on my 69...

Nice looking engine.

I got the solid fuel bars from Richard @ PMO and then used regular AN-6 fittings and lines (combination of Aeroquip, Earls, Russell, whatever else was laying around) for the rest of the plumbing. (Well actually Ottos did a bunch of the work which occurred in a few stages.) My setup is similar to JP's but the "crossover" between the carbs is plumbed to the ends of the fuel bars, not the banjos. Here's a lame pic:

Mark- they're just standard female to female fittings. I don't remember if the carb side is pipe thread or AN but you can get them either way.

Don't remember the size but I'll check tomorrow for you. give me a call. I'll be taking apart my calipers in the morning.

Coil is on the sidewall. See Here

The oil tank breather goes to the black catch can on the right in the pics shown above.

Can you explain the benefit of connecting the carbs with no return line?
The loop systems that I've heard about usually have a return line for continous circulation. I'm pretty sure roninlb's is plumbed that way.
I don't see a return in yours and was wondering how the carb connection works without it.
Thanks
Joe

Joe,

Why wouldnt it work. A normal carb setup does not have a return line. Atleast all theracing setups I have seen at the track dont. Not even my car does. With JP's system you are just simply making sure that both carbs are allowed enough fuel. They can draw fuel from either side. I know several racers that run the same set up with no problems and great performance.

Gents,
I find this set-up amazing, sorry that I haven't thought of the loop fuel line before.
I own a basic 2.4 with webbers, can I do this too or is it only recommended for racers?

I only wish I knew of this style set-up when I had the Porsche in Germany...for my daily "autobahn" drive to work
R,
Bavaria

I didn't mean to imply that it wouldn't work. I was just wondering about the benefit w/o a return line.
Thanks for the explanation.
Joe
