How to Remove Air Blower Unit?

Attempting to remove the air blower unit (1798 SC) to access the wiper motor. Everything coming out well, but there is a 1" diameter platcis pipe running from the bottom of the blower into the trunk floor. It has the whole blower firmly locked under the dash area.
Any suggestions on how to take the blower unit out?

Had this out recently on my '83 SC. The small small tube or "pipe" should slide down very slightly and there is a small extension off the blower housing (approx 1") that simply sits inside the tube. It is a tight fit but you should be able to manuver the housing out by pushing down slightly on the tube while lifting up on the blower housing. HTH.

911gilley,
Worked perfect!! Took all of 10 seconds to get it out. I knew there had to be a way without breaking something.
Thanks.
