Trimming Cab top seal?
At some point I read a article or thread about this.
Of course when I need the info, I can't find it. I have an 83 cab. I'm referring to the seal where the front of the top meets the windsheild frame. The one that wraps down the sides where the wing windows also meet it. I understood something about early style seals were not avalible and the only ones that are need to be trimmed. I also recall some people installed it only to find out later that they had to pull it out and trim it. I'm hoping to do it right the first time. Anyone know what to search for or can explain the issue? I did a quick search but couldn't locate it.

I'd search using Targa seal and trim for this information. I am unsure if Cabs use the same seal but on reflection, why wouldn't they?
Basically the "early" seals were superceded by a later, fatter seal that cannot work for the early cars without trimming. I have a file on it, but, alas, you do not wish mail through the 'board. John
