Finally found me a longhood

I still need to ship it home but it's now mine, yipee... It's a bone stock 73.5 T with S options, runs and shifts well, negligible rust, Not sure what the color is (that might not be the strongest point of the car), but amazingly the AC is fantastic (look at all those vents) which is good as it's going to Florida and will be a daily driver.

Took a while... ;-) And yes, H4s are on order...

Greg.
73.5 T
57 A

PS: The car does not have front bumper guards. I don't mind the look but it's got a big chrome plug where the guards would be. Can I find replcaement guards or am I better off with a new rubber strip to hide the "rivet" thing ?

I'd replace the strip, but plan about $125 for it. Pelican sells it, but you'll probably need the Porsche part number to find it in the on-line catalog. I can find it for you later if need be.

Bumper guards would be a bit more $ if you decide tto go that way.

Oh yes. Congrats on your purchase...it looks great! Longhoods rock! What's the color?

You know to look at the plate in the forward door jamb on the driver's side, right? That'll have the paint code.

I know, but I skipped the part where I explain that I had my brother in law check and buy the car for me, across the country, I don't want to bug him anymore than I have to at this point. I'll check out the codes and stuff when I go pick up the car ! It's 3000 miles away from me right now ;-) Thanks for the advice guys !
PS: Also, what are the odds, but both the seller and my Brother in law are color blind, they're no help ! ;-)

Can I guess? I'm gonna guess Eggplant...but it could be Phoenix Red? These color "chips" are not terribly accurate...

I don't think its eggplant, unless the digital pics are way off. Phoenix red could be it, though I haven't seen that color in person.

Congrats- nice car!

My guess is (possibly) factory eggplant, but respray with a lighter, metallic colour at a later date.
The dash trim strip colour points towards a maroon original paint scheme??

Might be 999 paint to sample. Looks like "Burnt Sienna". When you find out please let us know, this is an interesting color.
