Early Rear Sway Bar Installation

I just picked up an original early sway bar for the rear of my '72 911T. My car has neither the body mounts nor the ball mounts on the trailing arms. I see Weltmeister has an adapter kit to put rear sway bars on cars that did not originally have them. The only photo I have been able to find of the kit shows only the body mounts. They appear to be a rather clever design, in that they do not actually mount to the body, but rather clamp to the torsion bar. What the photo does not show, however, is what they use to mount to the trailing arm. So the question is, will this kit work with a stock sway bar, or do I really need the Weltmeister bar, too? It appears Weltmeister mounts the links to the trailing arm differently than stock. If so, can I just get a set of their adjustable links and use them with my stock bar and their adapter kit?

If you use the weltmeister mounts, you will need their bar. The ends of the bar attach to the springplate mounting bolts.

You could also buy new spring plate mounts and have them welded to the chassis. In this case, you would have to have the ball mounts attached to your trailing arms or swap out arms. Manytime syou can get the steel arms for cheap when people upgrade to the Al arms.

Darn; I was affraid of that. Does anyone have any photos of a Weltmeister rear bar installed in their car? I would kind of like to get a better idea of how their bar goes together vs. a stock bar.
