How to Blueprint a 930 Trans..
I have receive a lot of varying quotes on a high performance 930 transaxle and I am just wondering if it would not be more fun to do it myself and document it with photos.
What is involved with blueprinting a 930 trans? I know I can send the case / shaft to be shortened. Where do I get specs to compare parts to? I just have had a lot of different people try to scare me into buying a trans from them because they say that there are people out there who fill them with used parts instead of using new parts in the rebuild. I think I would sleep better at night if I just built it myself. Where do you start? With just any used 930 tranny, or is there a better way? Thanks Todd |
Anyone?

Unless it's the last 2 years of 930, shortening the case isn't advisable.

Because of the flange thickness?
What years ar ok for shortening?? |
'87 & '88 have enough case material for shortening without "bandaid" addition of case alloy.

Wow, I did not know it was limited to two years??
Thanks for the info... |
Ok aren't the 87-88 trans a G50and not the regular 4 speed 930?
