replica fuchs centercaps
I have some 15x7 five lug fuch replica wheels and need centercaps. Which ones fit? How do they attach?
I have seen some caps with small screw holes and some with retainer clips. What do I need?? I am in the process of installing my five lug items and want to find what I need before I finish up. Thanks Mark 72 914 5.0L http://community.webshots.com/user/marksurel |

Mark--
First step is to measure the opening of hole in the wheel, which will determine the type of centercap you need. Newer (74 + on) wheels use what are commonly called ring-type center caps. The rear of the cap has a ring with 3 small 'nubs' to hold it in via friction. Older wheels (73 + older) use 3-prong caps - there are 3 metal prongs that hold the cap in the wheel. They are NOT interchangeable. I'm not at home at the moment, so I can't measure the respective caps. The 2 holes in the caps are for ease of removal - I don't think they have any other use. Check out my signature line for samples of different caps.

70MM are ring-type wheels
