I'm not too bothered about the new cars but 3 F40s gone is a terrible shame, puts one that much further out of reach.

Any idea what this car is? I think I have seen one before but cant place it.

Kevin

I am no expert on italian cars but if it is NOT a ferrari, it may be an Alfa 2600 from the earlier to mid 60's. A local owner of a plastics manufacturing company owns one an i have been around it once or twice. Its a sweet car to look at, but not a 911 to my eyes

Kevin, the front end is throwing me off, but the window shape and roofline look like a Fiat 124.

Maserati. Mid to late 60's would be my guess judging by the front. Shame about the other cars. There were several old Maseratis inside the building besides the F cars.

It happened in Munsterhuis Holland on Sunday. 56 cars were involved. The photographer of the pictures above lives in Eastern Holland, not far from the German border.

Fair news report is at: http://www.ferrariownersclub.co.uk/happenings/2004/november/dutch_fire/report.asp

Seems that they tried to save some of the cars but they were locked and in gear or park and could not be moved. Personally I would have started smashing drivers side windows and pushing them out. Windows can be changed easily...

Sad to see...
