Defrosting with Headers

I am thinking of headers with the Smart Racing phase 9 mufflers for my '73T to RSR clone project. I don't think I'll need cockpit heat but I'd like to have defrost capability. I'll be installing a front cooler that will exhaust underneath the car. Is there a simple way to use the residual heat in the trunk compartment to feed the stock defroster/heater unit?

You won't have the heat when you need it the most. I'd carry some old cloth-style diapers with you for the most cost-effective defrosting solution.

12V electric heaters are useless, in case that occurs to you down the road.

What would Rain-X do on the inside of the windshield, I wonder?

I was cruising the e-bay. There is a heater for sale for use in skid loaders. Its in the heavy duty construction equipment sales area.

BTW, Webasto, oem of the gas heater for Porsche (long hood models) is still selling heaters. They make them for sleeper cabs of long haul trucks. They could have a heater for a 911? I found used ones in E-Bay.

Jack, the stuff leaves a film on the inside of the glass. It tends to give you ghost images of things when its misty damp outside. I guess you wouldn't see such things in sunny calif.

Good luck,
David Duffield
