Hi Dwight.
If i could make a suggestion: I just wired in my Valentine like Steve did here http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=171738&highlight=valent ine Not only will this conceal the detector for the most part, it won't clutter your dash or windshield with the wires. It's extremely easy to do, and took me about 10 minutes. Here's how mine turned out, the remote display is stuck ontop of the console: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1100150539.jpg Extremely well worth it, and easy to do! Also, where'd you get the Yellowbird bumper caps from? Price? they look outstanding. Beautiful car, best wishes, -Ian |

Thanx. It's a screamer. Nice install on the detector. Nice wheel too. I'm concerned I might loose some visibility with it up there. Is that the case? Low, the los blocks the car. I do like some of the rearview mirror options via the links. PU front spoiler is true RUF part. Had it, oil cooler, a-pillar filler and mirrors shipped in. All fit well. |
I don't notice any less visibility. It's in a perfect place for me, high enough that it's more effective (ie. max range) and discrete enough not to be able to notice from the front or rear easily.
Fact is, it's so easy and quick to install up there, and you already have the accessories and cords to do it, try it, see if you like it! If not, no harm done. regards, -Ian |
