Center Tunnel Question...
The PO of my '74 opened (Or should I say butchered) the center tunnel to replace fuel lines. The edges of the tunnel are pretty beat up from removing the welds. I'm sure the tunnel could be reinforced with some "L" metal stock while reinstalling. My question is, does anyone make replacement tunnels like they do floor pans? Or how easy are they to come by from donor cars? Thanks! Lou

Lou, I don't know the answer to your question but be very careful if your re-welding the area, the stock fuel lines are plastic and are right up against the steel of the tunnel. That does not go over real well with glowing hot metal. Just a word of caution. On the other hand, if you got a large enough piece of angle iron, say 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 you could weld it in without touching the area to close to the fuel lines. That and stitch welding so as not to put to much heat in one area should work out fine. My opinion only.
