Chad, that is purty. I think I have tears forming in my eyes.

Kind of mundane questions: did you remove all of the original fasteners and have them plated, or did you buy new plated fasteners? What head studs are those? I assume you plated them? And, how in the heck do you plate the center part of the fan and powdercoat the rest? It all looks like real Cad plating and not yellow zinc. Thanks.

Thanks-
Yes, all the hardware was zinc plated. OEM head studs-plated.
The fan and housing are all powdercoated, and you did notice the center is zinc plated...Good eyes. Its a little trick that was just shown to me by Allan at Aase. You drill out the rivets to the center of the fan. Then you plate it and powdercoat the fan. Then use screws/nuts to attach it back on. Looks really nice.

Oh good god! Thats it, damn it. I am sick and tired of seeing this crap! Seriously, i can't take it. Anyone know of a good sergan who can get me some good money for my kidney? Thats what i need to make. That motor is bad to the bone. Its like the terminator. It screams "i'll be back!... to kick you in the balls and laugh!"

Sweet motor dude. Just one question, doesn't cad plating weaken the studs by hardening the outside? Or am i thinking of something else?

It depends on who does the plating. Find a good shop/company that knows what they are doing and you will be fine. Motor builders do it all the time.

how did you get the metals (the case, heads, etc) to be so shiny-clean?

The builder (Allan) hot tanked the parts and used a pneumatic wire brush with solvent.
I just rip the my motors apart, I do not trust myself putting them back together yet....especially race motors
